Gilbert Senstius van der Meulen

After my studies marine engineering and business management I left the Netherlands searching for freedom and adventure. Beyond the equator I learned about people and their dreams, about loss and longing, about fear, rejection and not daring. I learned about kindness, courage and perseverance.
Finally I returned with an open mind. After various senior management positions I worked as a consultant and reinvigorated organizations with inspiring ideas, until a forthright director said: ‘You’re a teacher not a player, follow your heart’. And so I did. From wandering rover and sailor to business advisor, Oneness trainer and NLP coach; a revealing and exciting path.
‘True knowledge exists in knowing that you know nothing’
I still see myself as a beginner because there is still so much to learn about myself. Knowledge of your inner self is actually the highest education you will never complete. So I keep on learning, as long as I live. In such a way I learned that I never made any progress when I compared myself to others. Someone was always ahead of me, and most of what I saw in them was projection anyway. I made real progress when I started to compare myself with me the day before - Am I a little closer to where I want to be today? Have I become a little kinder, a little less distracted, a little more connected to my callings? Am I a little more at home in my skin? Do I feel more at peace with my life. – Life is al about learning. Each day I learn to live.
When you’re curious I gladly invite you to walk the path of self inquiry so that you’ll learn to open the door to the wisdom in your heart: an infinite source of new insights.
