The deeksha is an ancient blessing and was re-introduced by the Oneness & One World Academy (the former Oneness University). According to Bhagavan –who established the Oneness University together with his wife Amma- the deeksha is the phenomenon by which the divine reaches out to humanity.
A kiss from heaven
The deeksha is a kiss from heaven, a powerful transfer of universal energy to the crown chakra. It activates the kundalini (the body’s own natural energy), balances the chakras (energy centers) and has a positive influence on the functioning of the brain. The deeksha is being given by a deeksha giver who holds his hands several centimeters above the head of the receiver.
The effect on the brain
Deeksha induces a neuro-biological connection in the brain resulting in a decrease of activity in certain parts of the brain while the activity in other parts increases. This results in a decrease of fretting and compulsive controlling, while intuition and the sense of interconnectedness are being stimulated. Due to the changed brain activity you’re able to truly experience reality with your senses – really taste a peach, see your partner like he or she really is.
Self-acceptance
Deeksha induces an accelerated growth in awareness, eliminates emotional charges and leads you towards oneness and wholeness. It guides you on your unique journey towards self-acceptance and feeling connected with yourself, other people and with ‘all that is’.
